“When they had entered the city, they went up to the upper room where they were staying; that is, Peter and John and James and Andrew, Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon the Zealot, and Judas the son of James. These all with one mind were continually devoting themselves to prayer, along with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with His brothers.”
ACTS 1:13-14
Welcome to Upper Room!
The Upper Room is a place where many amazing things happened in the Bible. It was the place where Jesus and His disciples had their Last Supper, where the Eucharist was established, and where he washed their feet. The Upper Room was also where the disciples went after Jesus’ Passion and is the place He appeared to them after defeating death. In the Upper Room, the disciples and Mary devoted themselves to prayer and sharing life together. And certainly not least, the Upper Room is where the disciples received the Holy Spirit.
As you begin to prepare your heart and spirit for the Sacrament of Confirmation, we want to invite you to join us in the Upper Room. To come and devout yourself to prayer, community, and service and receive the Holy Spirit through the Sacrament of Confirmation. We have designed a program modeled after the life of Jesus and His disciples and hope that you will open your heart to what God wants to share with you on this journey.
