We are always in need of help from our adults to make this Youth Program run! There are so many different ways you can volunteer, but here are just a few you can be of the most help;
Adult Core Team
This coming year (2025-2026) we want to shake things up a bit, but we also want to start building a successful program to last for years to come!
As the Adult Core Team, you will be a reliable group of adults that the Youth Minister can call on whenever they need help. More than that, you will be mentors for our Youth by volunteering at Life Nights, Edge Nights, Adoration, Youth Rosary, Bible Study, all fun events and field trips not directly associated with Confirmation and so much more!
You will also be encouraged to attend Monthly meetings with the Youth Minister & the Youth Leadership Team to help plan future events and come up with ways to help the program continue to grow!
Confirmation Teacher
As a Confirmation teacher, you will be tasked with helping prepare approximately 10 – 15 youth prepare for the Sacrament of Confirmation. You will also be encouraged to attend their Confirmation retreat to assist as a chaperone.
This form of volunteering is very important to the program because it not only deals with the teens receiving a sacrament, but also because this may be their very first introduction to our Youth Ministry Program.
Post Con Teacher
Post Confirmation teachers facilitate classes composed of Junior & Seniors. Designed to help educated & encourage natural spiritual growth, these classes focus more so on what the youth want to learn and are extremely flexible.
Safe Environment
As ministers and collaborators with our diocesan Bishop, we hold an abiding respect for each human being, and we endeavor to make our parishes, schools, pastoral centers, offices, and all of our ministries safe environments for everyone, especially our children and young people. As a Church family, we also reach out to those who have been victimized in any way by representatives of the Church and offer spiritual and pastoral assistance for their healing and restoration.
St. Elizabeth requires all adults (18 and over) who work with youth to attend Protecting God’s Children Training Session. Diocese of Beaumont Safe Environment offers training sessions throughout the year, dates and times are listed on their website. In addition to the PGC training, volunteers must fill out a background check form, including a copy of your driver’s license and car insurance, also refer to the Ethical policy and sign the acknowledgment form.
